RESPONSIBILITIES AND ROLES OF A SECURITY GUARD
- To always be clearly visible while on duty, which would deter criminals, trespassers, burglars, shoplifters, muggers, and other criminals who would think twice if they saw a Security Officer Visible on duty.
- The officer must be vigilant while patrolling and watching out for suspicious or strange individuals on site while on duty. The Officer must also have very keen senses of light, hearing, and smell.
- Respond immediately and precisely during an on-site crisis to control the situation. In addition, a Security Officer must always be alert and avoid being caught out of pocket or from being distracted.
- Observe and report all incidents while on duty on-site to Security Management and Client Management.
- Checking and monitoring all areas on site while on duty every hour at the hour and then noting it in detail in the Company Logbook. Security Officers are authorized to ask employees for ID when it is not visible while they are on duty.
- Maintain on-site order at all times while on duty on client's private property to ensure the safety of clients and property owners at all times.
- Welcoming and greeting guests and visitors on-site at all times, which requires Security Officers to be friendly, approachable, and always willing to help others in need.
- Always offer safety warnings, tips, and precautions on preventing security-threatening situations on site. In addition, all safety precautions are adhered to at all times.
- Performing Security special duties such as receiving phone calls, and responding to text, email, and voice messages to Client Management at all times.
- Security Officers are required to come to work on time and be prepared for the shift in uniform, with a flashlight, pen, and memo pad at all times. If running late for any reason,the Security Officer is responsible for notifying Security Management that he or she is running late for their shift.
